Today in the morning, I was stand in front of the parade square waiting for morning parade to start. Where I stand firmly in front of 2 flag pole, and at the background of it wrote "honour & unity" the slogan of HTA.
As I think of God, i started to tearing in my heart, as thoughts of how much the CG have pray and fast for me to get to the NS vocation I wanted. And I know how much the leaders in LYL & Yilun herself have been praying for me to get here. In my heart, I still feel burden. At the end of the day, getting to this position is not about fame or people saying that I am very lucky to get here. but to send a message that prayer do really works. I don't have alot of testimony about myself about how God have bless me with this or that. But I can tell you, that everything I feel I cannot get it, I being to pluck in with faith.
Started to visualise how I wear the uniform, how I book in and out, i drew all the different kind of police uniform in a pocketbook everyday, I see myself hold the rank, I even planned on how to get home from the camp and CGMs. I told myself, others may not believe that I can have it but I need to have faith in seeing myself in having it.
Low faith level doesn't mean NO faith. There were times where I shared with others about the desire vocation they will say it will be hard for me to get it because the intake is very low. I know that some didn't even believe that I will get it. On the outside, they say they will pray for me to get the vocation. But on the inside they feel that I do not have chance.
What I want to share with you today is how to build a capacity of faith.
Faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God. This is a season where many of you are having holidays. And let me warn you, trials + tribulation is going hard you very hard if you don't prepare yourself.
Preparation of faith is the key thing is overcoming trials + tribulations. Let say today something real bad happened, for example: breakup with you & your girlfriend, your parents want to file a divorce case, maybe your parents go bankrupt or even your someone who is dear to you died on a accident. Will you still have faith in God? Where do you get faith in God? How do you get faith in God? What type of faith do you get in God?
To answer all these questions, Faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God! Not just by reading the bible. Sometimes read the bible get complicated than having me drawing closer to God. How about pick-up afew Christians self help books at attributes. They are constantly have sales to encourage us to help ourselves in this faith walk with God. When is the last time that you read?
I have my faith capacity at where I am today by apply this principle call "Faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God." READ BOOKS!!! not just your storybook but christian self-help books that will provoke you and change your way of understanding God. In these books, they always quote scriptures that will make you understand verses and even understand the until chapter of the bible. I will never feel more better that understand what God have for me. Who says God only through the bible. They speak to men and these authors have translate what God had spoken to them in books and understood languages. Find time in read these books.
The 1st christian book I read is "Kissing dating Goodbye" by Joshua Harris. The I read Max. Manhood by E L Cole and after reading so many books I am currently reading The Hidden Value of a Man by Gary Smalley.
Why not start reading and apply these principles in your life! Maybe God is going to speak to you today thru these God like how He did to me 4 years ago :D Lets be rooted in the word of God. In bible, self-help books, books that talks about relationship, personaility, being christ like, being evanglistic, seeing revival in your sch!
YEAH!
P.S: Through out the years, I have borrow many books away and I didn't take a record in it, cause I wasn't trained as a librarian Some books I borrow very long time ago and I didn't claim it back. So if you have my books or you THINK you have my books, can you be a kind-soul and look for it at your table, under your bed, disturb etc... :D Thanks alot!
